December 9, 2010

After being a finalist in the World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) Awards in 2009 (Qatar Foundation), the Virtual Centre for Innovative Learning Technologies (VCILT) gets worldwide recognition by the Commonwealth of Learning for its work in the educational technology field. The quality of the learning materials designed for the Diploma in Web and Multimedia Development was commended by the International Adjudication Panel setup by the Commonwealth of Learning.

The award was conferred upon to the VCILT, University of Mauritius, in the PCF6 forum on the 25th November 2010. This award demonstrates that Team Building is a major determinant of success. In fact, this project driven by Mr M I Santally, Officer-in-Charge of the VCILT, has been developed with the support and critical feedback of students, academic and non-academic staff.

The VCILT is proud to bring this recognition to the University of Mauritius.
